Our Company History
President and founder John C. Entingh started his financial career in 1987 selling life insurance policies in Columbus, Ohio. In 1993 he went to work to help build a local estate planning company, where he served as a Vice President and partner until 2004. On January 4th, 2004 Entingh Financial Services was founded.
Helping to grow the estate planning company over that ten years led him to want to form Entingh Financial Services to concentrate solely on helping middle-class Americans protect their life savings and secure an income they could not outlive. The other important step would be to ensure that it passes to their families through proper estate planning. John understood that then and only then would retirees enjoy a more worry-free retirement.

Since 1987 John has advised clients in the Retirement Red Zone (That would encompass 5 years before or any time after retirement) on how to preserve and grow their assets, maximize their retirement income, and protect their wealth. John is a Fiduciary as well as a member of The National Ethics Association. He enjoys working with clients to help show them how to increase returns with proven managed strategies. He also believes it is important to have a personalized estate plan that is cost-effective to pass the remaining assets to the heirs of his clients. Along with his 35 years in the financial services industry, he has completed hundreds of hours of courses related to these areas to help provide quality and accurate advice to his clients. John has assembled a team of professionals that bring experience, integrity, and commitment to help ensure that clients save every possible tax, court cost, and fee.
Born and raised in the Central Ohio area, John has also spent his life rooting on the Ohio State Buckeyes, traveling, playing golf, and spending time with his family and friends.
John lives in Pickerington, OH with his wife Kelly and is the proud father of two children Kayla and Mason, as well as the grandfather to twins Owen and Cole, and their younger brothers, Alexander, Hudson, and Callan.
Wendell Bennett Financial Advisor
He then started his career in 1988 as a Life Insurance Agent. He went to college while continuing to progress as an agent and received his degree from Columbus State Community College. After graduating, Wendell started working in the other areas of insurance, focusing on retirement planning as well as estate planning. He is also a fiduciary that works in our client’s best interest.
Wendell currently lives in Reynoldsburg, OH. His passion is sports and he attending the Cincinnati Reds, Bengals and Cleveland Cavaliers sporting events with his friends and family.
